BOZEMAN, Mont. - Sophomore Santi Ocariz (Spooner, Wis.) and senior Ashley Pletcher (Minnetona, Minn.) of the Green Bay Nordic ski teams are set to compete in the NCAA Skiing Championships this week.

Ocariz qualified as the eighth ranked skier in the Central Collegiate Ski Association. He aims to improve on last season's results at the NCAAs, as he finished 35th in the 10K freestyle and 37th in the 20K classic.

Pletcher will be skiing in her first career trip to the NCAAs. The senior aims to finish her career on a high note in her final meet with the Phoenix.

Competition for the Phoenix at the national championship begins March 5 in Bozeman, Mont., with freestyle skiing events. Ocariz and Pletcher will then race in the classical event Friday, March 7.
