Cross Country Teams Complete Regular Season at Bradley

PEORIA, Ill. - The Green Bay men's and women's cross country teams finished up their regular season early Friday evening at the Bradley Invitational. The men placed 15th, while the women took 17th at the Newman Golf Course loop. Missouri swept the team titles, winning the men's event with 27 points and the women's crown with 49. The Green Bay men totaled 418 points, while the women's final tally was 520. Ryan Miller (Mequon, Wis.) once again paced the men's harriers, placing 68th among the 148 entrants. He netted a time of 26:18 in the 8,000-meter race. Luke Karban (Marinette, Wis.) and Abe Clark (Gillett, Wis.) also placed among the top 100 for Green Bay. Karban finished in 26:50, just seven seconds ahead of his teammate. The other scorers for the Phoenix were Ryan Hartwig (Peshtigo, Wis.) in 27:25 and Chase Rost (Oconto Falls, Wis.), who came in at 28:07. In the women's 6,000-meter race, Jolene Sell (Menasha, Wis.) led the way, finishing 96th. She posted a time of 23:34. Emily Farrell (Gillett, Wis.) finished less than a minute later to grab 131st (24:30). The other team members who scored for Green Bay were Kendelle Krause (Berlin, Wis.), Whitney Mack (Lakeville, Minn.) and Danielle Pozolinski (Appleton, Wis.). The times for the three runners were 24:44, 25:44 and 26:01, respectively. Green Bay is next in action at the Horizon League Championships Oct. 27 in Valparaiso, Ind. --uwgbathletics.com-- |
