GREEN BAY, Wis. - Forward Mike Schachtner lifted the Green Bay Phoenix (15-14, 9-9) past the Loyola Ramblers (11-18, 6-12) Saturday night at the Resch Center. The junior tied the game on a jump shot with nine seconds remaining in regulation, then scored nine in overtime in Green Bay's 71-66 victory at the Resch Center.

Green Bay finished in a four-way tie for fourth place in the final league standings, but due to the tiebreaker scenario, will be the seventh seed in the Horizon League Tournament. The Phoenix will play at sixth-seeded Valparaiso Tuesday night at 7 p.m. (CT). The two teams split the season series, with the Crusaders winning on their home floor.

Schachtner totaled 27 points in 30 minutes of play. In the process, he joined the school's all-time top-10 scoring list with 1,271 points. In addition, Randy Berry tallied his first career double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Ryan Tillema had his eighth straight double-figure game, as he tallied 14 points.

Green Bay had 29 free throw attempts to just 13 for Loyola. The Phoenix bench outscored the Ramblers substitutes by an 18-3 margin.

The Phoenix, which won its last two games of the year, led by one, 29-28, at intermission. Green Bay swept the season series with the Ramblers by a total of 11 points.

The Phoenix had just 10 turnovers on the evening. Green Bay completed the campaign with an 11-3 home record.
