Men's Golf in Eighth Place After Day One at IPFW Fall Classic

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Green Bay men's golf team is in eighth place after two rounds of the IPFW Fall Classic at Deer Track Golf Course. The nine teams of the event will play a final round Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m.

Green Bay was in sixth after the first round, led by Travis Meyer (River Falls, Wis.) and his team-best 67. Brady Mork (Menomonie, Wis.) fired a two-under 69 while Garrett Gosh (Pewaukee, Wis.) tallied an even-par 71.

But the team slipped to eighth after four golfers could not break par in the second round. Adam Austreng (Shawano, Wis.) rallied for a four-under 67 in the second round and is one-under heading into Tuesday's action.

Green Bay's Carson Solien (Madison, Wis.) was unattached for the event and is tied for 13th with a three-under 139 thanks to a first round 66.

Of note, Loyola's Thomas Greene is tied for first after carding a course-record 63 during his second round. Detroit leads the field by six strokes, followed by Loyola.
