Dan Oliver begins his tenth year at the helm of the Green Bay men's tennis team. The Oceanside, Calif., native was named head coach in 1998 after serving as an assistant coach for three seasons. In his first season, Oliver led Green Bay to a third place finish in the Midwestern Collegiate Conference Tournament. For his efforts, Oliver was honored as MCC Co-Coach of the Year. More recently, Oliver has guided his squads to 2002, 2003, and 2004 second-place finishes at the Horizon League Championships.
In addition to his Green Bay athletics post, Oliver is the head professional at the Western Racquet and Fitness Club in Green Bay and the assistant professional at the Oneida Golf & Country Club.
Prior to Green Bay athletics, Oliver served as head coach at Consumnes River College in Sacramento, Calif., in 1993-94. He had previously been an assistant at Consumnes from 1990-92.
Oliver earned a degree in recreationable administration from Sacramento State, where he played tennis for two years. Before coming to Sacramento State, he played tennis at San Diego City College for two seasons. Oliver enjoys playing the guitar, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Oliver resides in Wrightstown, Wis., with his wife Margaret, and their daughters, Marina and Monika.
