MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Green Bay men's tennis team dropped a tough 4-3 match to Horizon League foe UIC Friday.

Freshman Brian Zaron was Green Bay's lone two-time winner against the Flames, as he posted a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 6 singles along with an 8-6 victory at No. 2 doubles with Matt Clegg.

John Brough was also victorious for the Phoenix at No. 5 singles, defeating UIC's Danny Wilson 6-3, 6-3.

Green Bay won the doubles point with Zaron and Clegg's victory at No. 2 doubles along with a 9-8 (4) win by Eric Plaushines and Matt Keesey at No. 3 doubles.

But UIC rallied back with straight-set wins at No. 1 through No. 4 singles to grab the meet victory.

Green Bay returns to action April 4 when it takes on instate foe UW-Oshkosh in Oshkosh.
