GREEN BAY, Wis. - Junior center Lavesa Glover put up career highs in both scoring and rebounding Saturday evening as her 15 points and 11 rebounds guided Green Bay women's basketball to a 66-52 win over North Dakota State.

Glover registered the first double-double for the Phoenix this season and her first in her career, leading four Green Bay players in double figures in scoring. Rachel Porath had a team-best 16 points, just missing her own double-double with nine rebounds, while Kayla Groh and Kati Harty added 13 and 10 points, respectively.

North Dakota State (5-6) was led by Lisa Bue's game-high 19 points, as she was the lone player in double figures for the Bison.

Both teams battled back and fourth over the first 14 minutes of the game, as the teams swapped six lead changes with four ties. With the game tied at 23 with just under six minutes to go, however, Green Bay held the Bison to just a field goal and a free throw the rest of the half on the way to taking a 33-26 advantage at the break.

NDSU kept it close out of the half, but with a Harty three-pointer from the baseline with 16:05 to go in the game, Green Bay kept its double-digit lead the rest of the contest.

The Phoenix held North Dakota State to just 32.7 percent shooting for the game, clamping down on defense after the Bison started the contest 4-6 from the field, including a trio of three pointers. Green Bay also out-rebounded NDSU 40-30.

Green Bay returns to action Saturday, Dec. 29 when the Phoenix wraps up non-conference play at Southern Illinois.
