Green Bay looks to extend a six-game winning streak this week when the Phoenix hosts Cleveland State Thursday and Youngstown State Saturday in the first Horizon League contests in the Kress Center. Tip for Thursday's contest is slated for 7 p.m. with Saturday's match beginning at noon.

Thursday's game will be televised live on MYNEW32 in the Green Bay area, with Ted Stefaniak and Dean Leisgang providing analysis. Due to a conflict with the Green Bay men's basketball game, the women's game will be tape-delayed on AM 1400 WDUZ "The Fan" in the Green Bay area, with Bruce VandenPlas on the call.

Phoenix Fast Fact: The Phoenix boasts a 209-69 record all-time in the month of January, a .752 winning percentage. Green Bay has not lost in January since Jan. 24, 2004, a span of 28 games.

Scouting Green Bay: Green Bay utilized a key 19-2 second-half run midway through the decisive half as the Phoenix posted a 67-52 win over Wright State Saturday afternoon. The victory, Green Bay's sixth straight this season, extends its streak of wins over Horizon League foes to 21 straight games. Despite first half foul trouble, junior Rachel Porath had 12 of her team-best 15 points in the second half as four Green Bay players reached double figures.

Green Bay is shooting 78.9 percent from the free throw line in its seven road games this year, and for the second time this season Green Bay went 9-for-9 at the line with its perfect effort at Wright State Jan. 5. Senior Kayla Groh has made her last 12 free throws and currently ranks 12th in the NCAA with her .897 shooting clip.

Junior Erin Templin has found her comfort zone in the starting lineup of late, improving her season scoring average to 7.1 ppg after averaging 10.3 points per game in the last three contests. In the last five games, Templin is averaging 4.4 assists per game. Templin has also made her last five free throw attempts and 15 of her last 17 gifters.

Scouting Cleveland State: The Vikings (8-5, 2-0) extended their winning streak to five games with a 2-0 weekend to start Horizon League play. CSU topped Loyola 75-58 Jan. 3 thanks to four players in double figures, led by Brittany Korth's game-best 15 points. Two days later against UIC, Kailey Klein stepped up with a 21-point effort to guide the Vikings to a 66-58 win over the Flames.

Green Bay owns an impressive 41-3 record over the Vikings, including a 19-1 record all-time in Titletown. The Phoenix extended its current winning streak over CSU to 11 games with a pair of wins last season: a convincing 82-39 victory at the Phoenix Sports Center Jan. 18, and a thrilling 69-66 win in Cleveland Feb. 17.

Scouting Youngstown State: The Penguins (7-6, 2-0) started the Horizon League slate with a 2-0 mark thanks to home wins over UIC Jan. 3 and Loyola Jan. 5. In YSU's 73-62 win over UIC, four players scored in double figures, led by Heather Karner's 19-point effort. Jessica Schloemp had a season-high 18 rebounds. Youngstown State has won three straight heading into this week's action, as the Penguins will face Milwaukee Thursday before facing the Phoenix.

Green Bay owns a 16-1 all-time record over the Penguins and the Phoenix has won the last five meetings. The lone Youngstown State win came in Green Bay during the 2004-05 season, when the Penguins upset the nationally-ranked Phoenix 60-56.
