Green Bay has been beyond impressive at home since joining the Horizon League in the 1994-95 season. The Phoenix is a whopping 107-10 all-time against Horizon League foes in Green Bay for a .915 winning percentage. In just the last 10 seasons alone, Green Bay is 78-2 at home against league challengers, for an eye-popping .975 winning percentage. The Phoenix has won 17 straight games versus the Horizon League in Titletown. Along with the team's top spot in the NCAA statistical rankings for three-point percentage, Green Bay is also among the leaders in six other categories. As of Jan. 20, Green Bay is second in the country in field goal percentage (.497), 23rd in scoring offense (74.3 ppg) and 29th in assists (16.2 apg). The Phoenix is also in the top 50 in won-lost percentage (39th, .765), scoring margin (44th, 11.6) and assist/turnover ratio (45th, 0.93). Scouting Loyola: The Ramblers (3-13, 1-4) The Ramblers are coming off a tough 76-69 setback to cross town rival UIC Jan. 19. Maggie McCloskey poured in 19 points for the Ramblers while Elyse VanBogaert added 16 points as Loyola shot 50 percent from the field, but its defense could not turn over UIC, as the Flames had a season-low five miscues.
McCloskey, a sophomore guard, leads Loyola with 13.1 points per game while classmate VanBogaert is adding 12.3 ppg from the forward position.
Scouting UIC: The Flames (5-11, 1-4), picked fourth in the Horizon League preseason poll, have struggled early on in the season. UIC claimed their first league win Saturday against Loyola, as the Flames were paced by Jessie Miller, who had an all-around game with team bests of nine rebounds, eight assists and two steals to go with 13 points.
Miller, a sophomore guard, leads the way with 12.8 ppg in 16 starts. Briana Hinkle is adding 11.8 ppg, as the duo is the only two players scoring double figures for the Fllames.
