GREEN BAY, Wis. - Green Bay women's basketball head coach Matt Bollant announced today that long-time assistant coach Kris Johnson will pursue personal endeavors following the 2007-08 academic year.

Johnson, the longest tenured assistant coach in Green Bay women's basketball history, was an instrumental part of the team's success over the past nine seasons. Green Bay compiled a 223-58 record and appeared in postseason play all nine seasons.

"I have been fortunate to be a part of Green Bay basketball and its success on and off the court," said Johnson. "But I feel it's important for me at this point to take time to spend more time with my children."

"Having someone with Kris' expertise on my staff in my first season at Green Bay was a tremendous asset," said Bollant. "We wish her the best of luck with her future aspirations."

Johnson will continue on staff until other personnel positions are filled. Former assistant coach Autumn Rademacher recently was named the head coach at the University of Detroit Mercy. Bollant will begin a national search for both positions immediately.
