Women's Basketball Leads Nation in Three-point Percentage for Third Time



Kayla Groh ranked 24th in free-throw percentage and 53rd in assist turnover ratio.

For the third time in team history, the Green Bay women's basketball team led the nation in three-point field-goal percentage of .428. Green Bay is the only team in NCAA history to lead the NCAA in three-point percentage three times.

Along with that accomplishment, the Phoenix also ranked in the top 25 in five other categories.

With the outstanding season they had (26-6), the team placed 14th in the nation for won-lost percentage and 23rd in their scoring margin. The team also placed 19th in assists per game.

The Phoenix showed their shooting skills this year from everywhere on the court. They locked in a third place spot in the nation for field-goal percentage (.488). The team also ranked 25th for free throw percentage (.756).

Individually, senior Kayla Groh was ranked 24th in the NCAA for free-throw percentage (.856). She also took the 53rd spot for assist turnover ratio with 1.71.

Junior center Lavesa Glover finished the year 15th in nation with a field-goal percentage of .564.
