After having its 17-game home court winning streak snapped Saturday against Marquette, the Green Bay women's basketball team (3-2) will look to begin a new streak Wednesday when the Phoenix hosts Kansas State at 7 p.m. It will be the lone game this week for the women, who are next in action Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Wisconsin in a game televised live on the Big Ten Network.

Wednesday's contest will air live on AM 1400 WDUZ "The Fan" in the Green Bay area, with Bruce VandenPlas on the call. Live audio is also available here.

Phoenix Fast Fact: Green Bay is 4-12 all-time against current teams of the Big XII; the last win over a Big XII team for the Phoenix was its 74-66 home win against Missouri during the 2003-04 season.

Scouting Green Bay: Entering this season, junior Lavesa Glover had tallied double-figures in scoring just four games. This season, in her first campaign as a starter, Glover has found her offensive groove. Glover has scored in double figures in four of Green Bay's five games this season and is third on the team in scoring with 12.0 ppg. Interestingly, Glover's career high is just 14 points, which she set in Green Bay's game against Marquette Dec. 1.

Green Bay forced 24 Marquette turnovers Dec. 1, as the Phoenix is averaging 22.4 turnovers per game of its opponents thanks to 10.8 steals per game.

With a 2-for-2 effort at the free throw line, senior Kayla Groh moved into second all-time in team history with a .831 career free throw percentage. Groh, who ranked 20th in the nation last year in free throw efficiency, is currently second in the Horizon League this year with her .875 clip.

Scouting Kansas State: The Wildcats halted a three-game slide last weekend with a pair of victories to claim the title of its own Commerce Bank Classic. Kansas State defeated Lipscomb 92-50 in the tournament's first round and topped UTEP 66-58 Saturday in the title game. Ashley Sweat led the way with 17 points against the Miners Saturday while Shalee Lehning had a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Kansas State holds a 4-1 advantage over Green Bay in the all-time series. The first meeting between the schools came in 1991 when the Phoenix prevailed 59-50 on the Wildcat's home court, earning its only victory in the series. In the 2002-03 season, Kansas State came to Green Bay ranked seventh in the country in both major polls, and pulled out a close 80-75 victory. Last season, the Phoenix shot just 38.7 percent in a 72-67 setback in the season opener.
