AVON, Ind. - The Green Bay women's golf team battled tough playing conditions, which included cold temperatures and blustery wind, and a challenging Prestwick Country Club course to finish 10th at the Butler Spring Invitational. The Phoenix carded a two-round total of 784 (+208).

Green Bay was 10 shots better on day two, as the Phoenix posted a 387 on Tuesday after a 397 on the opening 18 holes. Final round play was delayed until the afternoon due to frigid morning temperatures.

Ellyn Hansen topped the team by finishing tied for 28th place. She registered a 36-hole score of 175 (+31), which included the team's best round of the tournament, an 86 on the first day.

Allison Winter was Green Bay's second finisher, as she scored a 181 to share 41st place. Her top effort was an 88 in Monday's round. Anne Mandich landed in 51st place with a 191 after shaving 11 strokes off her opening round score with a 90 on Tuesday.

Rounding out the lineup were Madaline Selig (56th) and Jessica Guzek (57th). Selig had a two-round score of 237, while Guzek notched a 241.

Green Bay is next in action April 6-7 against Chicago State. Weather permitting, the meet, which is to be held at Green Bay Country Club, would be the first home event ever for the Phoenix program.
