Women's Golf Downs Chicago State in First-Ever Home Meet



Ellyn Hansen fired an 85 on Sunday at Green Bay's inaugural home event.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- In the program's first-ever home event, the Green Bay women's golf team picked up a dual meet victory over Chicago State on a mild, but blustery Sunday afternoon at The Woods (par 72, 5,830 yards) in Green Bay. The Phoenix had a team score of 376, while Chicago State totaled a 418.

Ellyn Hansen was the top performer by four strokes with a 13-over-par score of 85. Allison Winter took fourth place overall with a sum of 92, one spot and one shot ahead of teammate Anne Mandich.

Jessica Guzek (106) and Madaline Selig (113) finished seventh and eighth, respectively for the Phoenix.

The two teams will square off again Monday at The Woods. Tee times are set for 10 a.m.
