Women's Soccer Bounced from Horizon League Championship with 5-0 Loss at Loyola

CHICAGO - The Green Bay women's soccer team (2-16-0) concluded its 2007 campaign Saturday, as the No. 7 seeded Phoenix lost to No. 2 seed Loyola 5-0 at Loyola Soccer Park.

Horizon League Player of the Year Cynthia Morote-Ariza had a pair of goals, including the game-winner in the 19th minute, to lead the Ramblers. Katie Heidenreich added a goal and an assist.

Green Bay was out-shot 18-2 in the contest, with just one effort coming on goal. Claire Townsend (West Bend, Wis.) had a shot on goal in the 61st minute for the team's lone try on frame.

Phoenix goalkeeper Brooke Wikgren (Champaign, Ill.) made five saves in the setback, while Loyola goalkeepers Colleen Dougherty and Lauren Sommer

The game marks the end of the careers of Green Bay seniors Jennie Gorwitz (Appleton, Wis.), Amanda Brown (Eau Claire, Wis.), Lotte Rasmussen (Samsoe, Denmark) and Wikgren.
