GREEN BAY, Wis. - Green Bay women's tennis coach Karen Neuman announced today the signing of Morgan Weuve (Green Bay, Wis./Preble) to a National Letter of Intent. Weuve will be a freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for the fall, 2008.

"Morgan is quite an outstanding athlete and we look to have Morgan be an immediate starter in the middle part of our lineup," said Neuman. "She is a student of the game and we believe that her best playing days are ahead of her."

Weuve was named the Green Bay Press-Gazette Metro Player of the Year as a senior in 2007 after qualifying for the WIAA State Tournament for the second straight season. A first-team all-conference selection as a senior, Weuve was also a three-time team MVP for the Hornets.

For her career, Weuve posted a 61-32 singles record at the No. 1 position. Weuve also excels off the court, as she is a member of the National Honor Society.
